A Proven Process
Brake forming is a mechanical metal deformation process that has been around for well over 100 years. The process is accomplished by bending sheet metal with different punch and die sets along a straight axis. Press braking appears to be a simple process but maintaining accuracy can be difficult unless the function of the press, tooling, and material are taken into account. Pro-Tech’s three press brakes offer customers the versatility to finish projects both big and small. The powerful Chicago Press Brake has a 500 ton capacity and can accept mild steel up to 1/2″ x 12″. The small Cincinnati offers and efficient platform to meet some of the smaller needs of our customers.
