Pro-Tech is donating a military themed containment plow to a raffle benefiting the nonprofit arm of the American Veterans Traveling Tribute (AVTT). The raffle drawing will be held Friday, June 26, at noon during the 18th annual Snow and Ice Management Association (SIMA) Snow and Ice Symposium.
“This raffle is a great way for Pro-Tech and SIMA to join forces on a great cause benefiting veterans and their families,” explains Don Allen, an LTC ARMY veteran with the AVTT. “The funds earned from the raffle will be used to support veterans that don’t have the means to travel to war memorials, as well as scholarship funds for veterans’ family members.”
Pro-Tech used an 8′ Rubber Edge Skidsteer Sno Pusher, for the design, which is a very popular model within the industry. “Our inspiration for the design was based on the AVTT’s foundational message of honor, respect and remembrance,” says Greg Cunneyworth, Creative Director of Makeway, Pro-Tech’s design firm. “The three shields on the Sno Pusher are our interpretation of those three foundational words.” The Sno Pusher also features the POW/MIA flag, and a color scheme similar to many military vehicles.
“It’s an honor to be part of such a great cause,” says Jered Shuknecht, director of marketing at Pro-Tech. “Being able to help out veterans and their families through this raffle is a humbling experience, considering the sacrifices they have made for our country. It’s just one small way that we can show our appreciation.”
